Three projects in Grey recognising the service of Australians in times of conflict will receive funding through the Saluting Their Service Program.
Federal Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey said the Saluting Their Service is a source of funding available from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs for projects and activities that commemorate the service and sacrifice of Australia’s military personnel in wars, conflicts and peace operations.
“I am pleased to see three dedicated organisation in Grey awarded funding for some really great projects,” he said.
“I know how much hard work goes in to ensuring the service of all Australians is recognised for generations to come and this program has seen many organisation in Grey achieve some wonderful things.”
In Grey the following projects have been successful-
- Flinders Ranges Council will receive $10,000 to commission sculptures for installation at the Quorn War Memorial.
- Port Broughton RSL Sub-Branch will receive $3,600 to contribute to costs associated with constructing a Memorial Garden to commemorate the service and sacrifice of local service personnel.
- Price Soldiers Memorial Hall will receive $9629 to install an Honour Roll at Price Soldiers Memorial Hall to commemorate locals who have served in all wars, conflicts and peace operations.
