Port Pirie Helping Hand Aged Care will be able to improve the outdoor area of the Men’s Shed at Lealholme Residential Aged Care with funding of $6,950 through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program (SCP).
Federal Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey said he is very pleased the funding will help improve the outdoor area of the Men’s Shed at Lealholme Residential Aged Care extending the concrete area next to the shed and a roof for shade and weather protection,” he said.
“This facility is used for men who live at Lealholme where they meet and create objects for sale.
“Men’s Sheds provide support and friendship are a an excellent way to develop support networks
“I am very pleased we have made these Federal Government funds available through the Stronger Communities Program to help regional communities.”
The Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities Programme offers grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 for small capital projects.
