Whyalla arts group D’faces of Youth Arts will be able to purchase circus equipment with funding of $2750 through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program (SCP).
Federal Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey said he is very pleased the organisation which provides opportunities for young people to become involved in has received funding to purchase unicycles and a trapeze which will be used in weekly circus groups.
“D’faces of youth arts is a regional youth arts organisation providing workshops and special programs in performing and visual arts, ” Mr Ramsey said.
“It offers wonderful opportunities for young people interested in performance arts.
“They take part in community events and perform regularly.
“I am very pleased we have made these Federal Government funds available through the Stronger Communities Program to help small community groups.”
The Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities Programme offers grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 for small capital projects.
