The Yacka Golf Club will be able to upgrade its existing old mower with funding of $10,000 through Round 4 of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program (SCP).
Federal Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey said he is very pleased the funding will enable the club to purchase a mower which will be used to maintain the course
“This Stronger Communities Grant will enable the club to upgrade the mower volunteers use currently which is ageing and too small for the size of the course,” he said.
“A new mower will make it much easier for the older volunteers to maintain the golf course and maintain fire safety in Yacka.
“I am very pleased we have made these Federal Government funds available through the Stronger Communities Program to help regional communities.”
The Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities Programme offers grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 for small capital projects.
