The Toybox Community Childcare Centre will be able to renovate its backyard with funding of $7,500 through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program (SCP).
Federal Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey visited the Centre on Friday and said he is very pleased the funding will enable them to renovate the backyard and build a new cubby house.
“The funding will provide a safe, healthy outdoor nature area for children to play and a fantastic cubby for adventure and role play,” he said.
“All kids love a cubby to play in and with a grassed area and storage underneath, this will be a real asset to the centre.”
“I am very pleased these grants are able to provide extremely worthwhile funding projects in our local towns and regional cities.”
The Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities Programme offers grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 for small capital projects.
