The Port Lincoln Tunarama Association will be able to continue to develop the iconic Tunarama festival with funding of $15,354 through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program (SCP).
Federal Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey said he is very pleased Port Lincoln’s premier event will be supported with funding to to purchase a marquee together with security fencing.
“The annual Tunarama festival brings people from around the country to celebrate the tuna industry and all Port Lincoln has to offer.
“This festival has grown over the last 57 years and is known for the world famous tuna toss competition.
“I am very pleased we have made these Federal Government funds available through the Stronger Communities Program to help regional communities.”
The Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities Programme offers grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 for small capital projects.
