New Restrictions

Just when we were about to publish an e-newsletter updating you on our new-found freedoms and the return of interstate travel, the COVID monster got out the bag again. I have repeatedly warned that the virus is not eliminated, just suppressed and we need to keep following the rules, i.e. no handshakes, regular hand cleaning, keeping our distance etc.
With the outbreak in the northern suburbs we are provided with a graphic demonstration of what can go wrong and how quickly it can happen.
However, our public health teams have a track record of efficiently shutting down outbreaks (Barossa Valley, Thebarton) and as we have learned, testing and contact tracing are the keys to success. I am confident ours are as good as there are and that we can get on top of this again in a minimum amount of time. Like so many families I am hoping for free travel by Christmas. Let’s all get the shoulders to the wheel!

CURRENT SA RESTRICTIONS UPDATE
South Australia implemented immediate restrictions from midnight Monday night (last night), to limit the transmission of COVID-19 in South Australia.
Schools remain OPEN, however people are strongly advised to:
* Get tested if you feel unwell or show symptoms
* Work from home where possible
* Encourage vulnerable people to stay at home
* Avoid having visitors at home
* Avoid unnecessary travel
* Wear a mask where it is not possible to physically distance, eg. public transport
